You have to forgive me. I am having a bit of a “Parent Trap” moment here. I have just come to the conclusion that I in fact have a long lost sister that I was separated from at birth. Really… Well, not really. Meet Ashley. My “somehow-feel-like-I-have-known-you-from-birth-lets-talk-on-the-phone-for-hours-can’t-wait-to-meet-you-why-do-you-live-so-far-away-friend-Ashley.” She was referred to me by a mutual friend/family member of Ashleys..Shannon, who I went to school with back in the day. From the moment I first talked to Ash on the phone, I knew it was a match. A few moments of talking about photography packages quickly went to deep conversations about God, life, family,Anthropologie, coffee, music, fashion..you name it. I felt like I was a Jr. Higher again… talking in my room on my light up phone for hours. I honestly don’t think I have ever talked to a prospective client on the phone for as long as I did my first time chatting with Ashley. She was a kindred spirit that started as a client, but within moments became a dear friend. We pretty much starting planning the engagement session right away, before ever meeting, or signing any papers..we were soo excited:) Ash recommended we try out “Apple Hill” which was closer to where she lives. I knew nothing about it..but the words Apple and Hill..just seemed to strike a cord with me. We brainstormed for weeks and sent iphone pics of new accessories to eachother. Luckily Jason came with me to the session..1.) I would have totally gotten lost..2.) Someone needed to be there to talk to Ashley’s Fiance James while she and I were being Chatty Cathy’s and frolicing arm in arm….At THEIR ENGAGEMENT SESSION, I know..I’m soo sorry James!!! You were such a trooper..thanks for sharing her with me!
Ashley and James Met 7 years ago at PF Changs where they were both working at the time..after being friends, one moving away, and a few years passing… they made their way back to each other. They are quite the perfect balance for one another..and Jason and I are SOO glad we finally got to meet them in person the day of our shoot. The boys will just have to deal witht he fact that Ashley and & will in fact be giddy every time we see eachother….and they will be singing praises that we have good text messaging plans on our phones
Ash, thanks for introducing us to Apple Hill…Still have the box of apples in my kitchen which are slowly getting eaten:) So looking forward to your wedding, and more importantly..your friendship!!
