There is something exhilarating about a “day after” session. Whether it’s a week, month, or years after your wedding….I truly encourage everyone..at some point..to do it:) Perhaps its getting to see your husband all distinguished & snazzy again, or perhaps reliving the magic of  “the white dress”….. Most of all, I think its because there are “NO RULES”. No timeline…no nerves, no angst about getting your dress wrinkled before walking down the aisle. It’s pure and blissful dress up….(and C’mon…you can never have too many pictures with your darling lover!)

We have been wanting to do this session with Trav and Melissa since meeting them in December..we met them a year too late…so we didnt get to photograph their wedding..:( So this was destined to happen at some point or another:) We are in the process of opening  a new photography studio in downtown Willow Glen..and knew we wanted a killer session for our first window display…We wanted to incorporate the accessories and invites we can make into the shoot,  as well as have our buddy Dave from AVRfilms to come film with us so we can make a fun promo video. Lets just say..there will be many lovely and angelic glances caught between Travis and Melissa…slow motion studly camera work by Jason, then there will be awkward-hiding-behind-my-camera faces when the camera is pointed in my direction..cuz being the one being filmed..is not my cup of tea..(insert dorky third grader with buck teeth and tie Dyed MC Hammer pants…cuz thats about how lame I feel in front of the camera:) Nonetheless..Dave and his buddy Ryan Black were a joy to have with Jason and I, as we set up a quaint little mock wedding day shoot… (in perhaps the most heavenly orchard imaginable). Travis and Melissa..your beauty is breathtaking..but most of all, you are one of the most grounded, grateful, and pure hearted couples we have ever met…and thats what really makes you beautiful. Here is just another smidgen from our “year after session” with these hotties:)
