Chris & Sarah’s Wedding…

DSC_9213a-2

There is a level of uninhibited excitement in the days preceding a brides wedding day. Between final alterations, last minute makeup choices, arrivals of out of town bridesmaids,  and realizing the cute boy you have called fiance, is hours away from being your husband…it all becomes very REAL, very fast. I remember watching Sarah get ready at the Hotel…there was the normal hustle and bustle of bridesmaids getting their hair done, figuring out which “spanx” to wear, everyone shoving the most important items in tiny clutches….and then  there was a moment where Sarah was standing in her bedazlled brides robe, staring in the mirror as she put her veil in, and there it was…THE LOOK…and a few deep breaths. It was the moment it felt REAL. Some say they felt like a bride when they put their dress on, some say when they walked down the aisle…but for some it is simple moments as these in a crowded room…the best part of my job is getting to witness this:)

We have been doing our very own countdown for Chris and Sarah’s wedding….can’t tell if we have been more excited about this day…or them!!:) I have known Sarah and Chris for maaannnny years, and truly, they are two of the most genuine and amicable people you will EVER meet. They have such a quiet beauty about them..a simple love that seems to surpass all things. The thing I love about them, is that they arent the couple that got wrapped up in the wedding day. It is so easy to get lost in the “to-do” list, and all the things that could potentially go wrong..to let little things stress you out, and to rob your joy. Sarah and Chris’s only focus was eachother that day…even from separate dressing rooms, they were wanting to make sure the other was being taken care of..that the temperature of their room was just right..etc..they completely understood the real importance for that day was nothing other than having that person by their side. In saying that, I was sooo excited for creating their “first moment”….not just because both of them looked smokin hot, but because I know there is such a “PEACE” that comes over you after you get to see your that person for the first time. It is a bit of a resting place in their arms, that seems to slow down time, on a wedding day that already seems to go too fast. Sarah and Chris were absolute troopers bearing the 100 degree heat..being the people pleaser I am,and seeing their discomfort , I wanted to stop taking pictures several times and send them back to their air conditioned dressing rooms, but I kept telling them…Trust me…the pictures are worth it!! A little bit longer…a little bit longer! Thank you sooo much guys for stickin it out…it WAS worth it:) We had such an amazing day at their wedding… Wente Vineyards never looked so good with these two parading around:) It was a wedding of familiar faces, old coaches, and truly some of the most incredible families and people we know. Sarah and Chris-we love you guys and are SOO grateful you chose us to be part of your day, thank you being who you are…enjoy the sneak peak:)DSC_9033DSC_0070DSC_9178a-2DSC_9135asarah ed1sarah ed3DSC_9212asarah ed2DSC_0117aDSC_9240asarah ed11DSC_9271aDSC_9276a-2sarah ed10sarah ed8DSC_9605DSC_9621DSC_9580aDSC_9445a-2DSC_9457asarah ed6DSC_9432aDSC_0399asarah ed12DSC_9340asarah ed5sarah ed14sarah ed9sarah ed-2sarah ed13DSC_0083DSC_0110DSC_0163DSC_0220a-2
