Great Minds Think Alike..

I rarely seem to find time to just sit and ramble these days,  and normally wouldn’t dare to leave a post without a picture included, but you will just have to be creative and paint your own picture for this one…I have been soo busy with weddings and just keepin up the family life, its been hard to steal moments away for myself and have girl friend time…which if you know me…is a huge part of my chemical make up..I wouldnt neccessarily say I am a social butterfly…I dont flutter my way through the crowds, chattin it up with the Mr. & Mrs..maybe I’m more of the social caterpillar. Quite frankly, I would like to sit in one place with one person..and yes…boring as it sounds..just talk. I thrive off of one on one time with my girls…so tonight, as it is midnight, I should be sleeping, yet I am buzzing from my time with the Lovely, ever-so-talented Shanni. Shanni & I went to high school together, have all the same friends, yet we have never actually hung out together….just the two of us…ever. Before heading over to her house, I realized we have never spoken on the phone before, and I felt nervous dialing her number for some silly reason. …am I in Jr. high or what???? Shanni and I have been trying to get together for hmmmmm…about 8 years now:) Although we  see eachother occasionally in large crowd settings, I think it is our deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep love for photography that FINALLY made our paths collide tonight.. Shanni and I took photo together in high school…my friend Natalie and I were secretly jealous of her because she was soo good at developing photos and we always thought our teacher liked her better than us…. perhaps that was  because Nat and I always goofed off in class, and would hide in the dark corners and spray dust off on our teacher Mr. Howell when he walked by…..but thats besides the point:) She always seemed to be a natural at it…it is no wonder that she has just recently picked up her camera again, and is creating AMAZING pieces of art….I was dying to see her, and hear about her “process” and how she is encompassing photo back into her life….we have SO much in common, it is a shame we waited so long to be friends again:) We walked from her cute little place in downtown Los Gatos to YUMI YOGURT….and ordered the largest leaning towers of chocolate and penut butter cookie yogurts.  We sat for hours talking about life, our cute husbands, and the BIZ. I don’t really talk to many other photographers, I’m not much of a schmoozer..so it was soo exhilarating  just gushing about our favorite photo blogs and “Celebrity” photographers that we follow daily. It was like we were in highschool talking about cute boys or something. So many things have changed since dark rooms and changing bags…digital is a whole new wonderland…& we are both just trying to find our place in this sea of technical geniuses and photo rockstars.  I’m so excited to have Shanni shoot with me on one of my up and coming weddings..I have a feeling it is going to be nothing short of supercalafragalistic:) Shanni…next time yogurt is on me…:)XOXO..

I read this the other day on my phone and couldn’t comment with the ooze that I needed to (don’t get me wrong, my iPhone is my life, but typing long love stories is not what it is meant for)…. and just realized as I packed for our adventure together that I needed to!!!!
