Julia and James…. OH MY-Where to begin with you lovebirds. God was having one of those “slam dunk” kind of days when he created you two. I have never met two people who are more wildly considerate of the people around them….not only in the tiny moments of life, but every second of the day:) You have been blessed with so many love languages..and have the ability to know what people need and truly truly love….and meet them, with those very things. Right there. From the moment I stepped foot in Missouri for your engagement session earlier this year..and you handed me a jar of honey, a sweet card, and a bag of vintage buttons, I felt “KNOWN”. There is no greater feeling in this world to feel like someone is paying attention to your details, and knows what makes your heart leap. Your kindness and sincerity is simply breathtaking..and your wedding was just this beautiful personification of all the character traits you both possess. I have been looking forward to this wedding, not only because I just adore you two..but because I knew you are a crafty bunch.. and the details of this wedding were going to be to be un-real. Ummmm…Can you say Martha Stewart? Jason and I were pretty much swooning over every aspect of this day…down to the very last snow cone and pretzel bite….and are SO grateful for the many hours and hours and hours you spent dreaming this day up, because it was simply incredible.Just priceless.
Here is a little snippet from Julia and James about their wedding, because it so fun hearing a little blurb in their own words:)
“We had so much fun planning our country-bumpkin, rustic shabby-chic church picnic wedding! With our short six months of engagement and our remote planning from St. Louis, all of our wedding dreams came true with help from family and friends all over the country!
We loved Santa Margarita Ranch from the moment we saw it back in early January, only three weeks after getting engaged. It was the first and last venue we checked out — it was perfect. We both have large families and lots of friends that feel like family. We wanted our wedding to feel like a sweet summer church picnic.
All together we made 20 Etsy transactions, and hand-made a lot of the decor for the wedding in the last several weeks before the wedding. Julia flew out two weeks before the wedding and, with the MOH and MOTB and glue gun and paintbrush in hand, finalized a lot of the projects. James was back in the St. Louis area picking up last minute Etsy packages, helping the bridesmaids with dress orders, and putting a new job and move on hold to fly out and get hitched!”J&J- Jason and I love you guys to the moon and back…and cant wait for you to have babies so we can have another reason to photograph you crazy kids! Thank you for making us feel like treasured guests at your wedding..and being such big supporters of what we do. May these pictures forever remind you of the two words that forever changed your life. I DO. XOXO

As I was taking getting ready photos in the brides room, I stumbled upon this darling burlap wrapped present with a nametag…with MY name on it. I thought for sure it was for a bridesmaids gift for one of the girls…until Julia saw me looking at it, and she said, “ITS FOR YOU”!! WHAT??? For reeeeaaallls?? I said… (As I unwrap it, I’m reminding myself again, that Julia, is just really, THAT sweet.) Inside was the most beautiful little vintage jewelry box with so many gorgeous little heirlooms and trinkets…Hello, all my favorite things in a frilly little box:) Julia…thank you for having such a beautiful heart. You inspire me..
