Alex & Sarahs Coastal Engagements..

Sarah had just finished her title as Miss Nevada USA, when her and Alex first met. It was a very serendipitous Vegas love story if you ask me:) Sarah was in the lobby of a tower where her friend lived….waiting for the limo service to pick them up and take them out for St. Patricks day…a few moments later, Alex walked into the lobby and recognized Sarahs friend, as they had met once before..(Alex is from Sweden but has a vacation home in Vegas, which he visits once a year..because he LOVES poker:) Alex asked Sarah and her friend if they wanted to join him and his friends for dinner…..Sarah said “No”, but her friend convinced her it would be fun…so they hopped in the Limo and this is pretty much where their story began:) After 3 hours of being joined at the hip…Alex called his mom back home in Sweden and handed the phone to Sarah so she could say “Hi”…(how I would have loved to be a fly on the wall the hear THAT conversation..haha) Alex then, in Swedish, told his mom that he had found ” THE ONE”. It was love at first limo ride for Alex:) Four months later, Alex and Sarah were engaged…because “WHEN YOU KNOW, YOU JUST KNOW”…and well, here we are today:)

Like so many others we have photographed..I went to highschool with Sarah:) I remember watching her cheerlead at football games…and she always had so much “LIGHT” about her. It wasnt the stadium lights or the cheerleader glitter either….she was just so joyful and radiant…ALWAYS…the girl who could light up any room, or stadium she set foot in. I have loved watching her journey over the last few years..through pageants…meeting Alex…and now being Vice Principal for a Charter elementary school. Her mama must be soo proud!:) Alex and Sarah are completely in step with one another. You would never know they have been in eachother life for such a short time:) Their session was brimming with love…laughter…and yes, bravery:) I convinced them to climb into an old chicken coop for me…and they didnt blink an eye:) We cannot wait for their Santa Cruz wedding next month…we just love these two!XO

Todays Bride Magazine Feature..

We feel so giddy and honored to have Travis and Andreas wedding featured in the current issue of TODAYS  BRIDE! This is actually our first magazine feature, and we feel so blessed to have our work side by side with some of OUR favorite photographers, in such a brilliant magazine. I know most photographers have their work in  countless  magazines allllll the time…but this is new for us, as we rarely carve out time to submit our work anywhere:)…and lets be honest…most days I feel like we are just small fries in a sea of a bajillion photographers..haha:) A huge thank you to Jon and Linae of Asiel Design, for helping encourage us to submit some images:) So fun!!XO

Danielle & Heaths Wedding {Nestldown}…

This was one of our last weddings from 2012…and took place at one of the most magical places on earth. No, not Disneyland:)…but a venue called Nestldown:) I am particularly fond of Nestldown because it is where Jason and I got married almost 10 years ago…and it was everything that I remembered it to be, and more. It is literally the most fairly-tale like place,…nestled among the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains. Danielle and Heaths wedding was on a chilly fall day…and I love how their amazing florist, and our dear friends over at Asiel Design, really illuminated the natural colors of the season with all the flowers. Because really, what is more romantic than getting married in the FALL?  It was oh-so-dreamy:) Danielle and Heath have the most darling little daughter who was one of the flower girls…and pretty much stole my heart:) Their love is already so evident in and of itself, but seeing them as parents, and how this precious blue eyed little girl has knit them together into a family, was truly the most beautiful thing in the world. Danielle + Heath..thank you for being such a joy to work with!!XO

Looks like a fun wedding. Great pictures!

Courtney & Steve’s Wedding {Wisconsin}..

This wedding goes down in the books as not only our most FREEEEEZING wedding in the history of, EVER…but also as one of our favorites:) Courtney and Steve are a quirky and lovable pair.. that flew us out to celebrate with them in the Wisconsin countryside amongst their nearest and dearest:) While some people thought they were NUTS to have their wedding in Wisconsin..in a barn…..in October..there was something so sweet about bringing people together with cozy blankets, apple cider, and a spirit of cuddling to stay warm:) Courtney and Steve are crazy about eachother…crazy about their friends, whom they called their “Entourage”…and cherish their families with every ounce of their beings. We loved that these two have mastered the art of playfulness with another…and dont take themselves too seriously…kind of makes our job awesome..because they will do just about anything you ask, as long as they are with eachother:) Jason and I got to spend a few extra days before and after their wedding, going to Chicago, and seeing some beautiful places we might never had seen, had we not been there for their wedding..so THANK YOU Courtney & Steve, for giving us a mini getaway and having us be a part of your story, and greatest adventure!!:) We are scheming about how we can come back to see you guys…XO

I was completely obsessed with Courtneys dress…and hair…and hot pink lipstick…..just amazing.

Heather & Adams Wedding….

Heather & Adams wedding was a beautiful blend of SUNSHINE + LOVE:) They were wed amidst the sun-soaked vineyards of Paso Robles, California…and had me oohing and ahhing over how dreamy they looked as the afternoon light circled above them like a halo:) It was warm fall day where the sun glimmered through the trees…almost in this magical peach color that acted like a photoshop action floating amongst us…It just made everything so warm and lovely..I was soooo grateful God blessed us with a gorgeous day!:) Heather and Adam..we are so appreciative that your sensational coordinator and our dear friend, Jenn Hocker introduced us…what an honor to take part in such a pivotal day of your lives:)XO
