It is not just a board game………but a way of life. Ask Kyla. Kyla got 2 pretty princess games for her 4th birthday, and both of my friends said “Oh, you can return mine so you don’t have two!”..I’m like, uhhhhh, you have obviously not seen our kids play board games..we are lucky to keep the pieces together for ONE game. The minute any cute little figurines or dice are broken out of that little plastic bag, ..game over. They are chewed up, stepped on, rolled in play dough, in a pocket, in the washer, soaked in the bath tub, swept up, choked on, truly, truly, the list goes on. So we decided to keep both pretty princess games, with the thought that when one started losing pieces, we would open up the second. Ummm…yeahhhh…. try to explain that logic to a 4 year old with an obsession for both dress up and Hannah Montana sparkle lip gloss. It was just not happening.. both princess games instantly became accessible for all of her beautifying needs. Some days I will be sitting at the computer and will be so “in the zone” editing pictures, that I wont have noticed that she has clipped on a princess dangly earring, that is…. until Hayden rips it off of me, or my ear begins to throb. Sometimes I look over at Jason watching sports, and see he is wearing an earring too, and I know Kyla has had her way with him. If you are one of the lucky ones, you might come over and find a princess ring at the bottom of your glass, or have a sparkly jewel stuck to your butt when you get off of our couch. Its just how we roll over here at the Maxwell house. Today I caught some of the sweetest little faces as kyla was playing in the bedroom with her “game pieces”…just a day in the life of a princess…its a rough life, someones gotta be sittin pretty:)
