Suzanne & Scotts Wedding..{Testarossa Vineyards}

DSC_0107Every photographer wakes up on wedding days and thinks 2 things. 1.)Are my batteries charged, 2.) and what will the bride be like today? Even with months of planning every precise detail..weddings still have a way to be completely unexpected. There are many players in that orchestra that must all be playing their part in order to create harmony:) Sometimes the little unexpected changes in a day can really “get” to the bride..causing panic, stress, tears, bride wars to the max:) Not my darling Suzanne. Suzanne had to be the most kick back and collected bride we have ever worked with. The Dream bride..Within the first couple  minutes of seeing Suzanne that day, with her leggings and Starbucks in hand..I asked her how her day had been so far..”Great” she said…genuinely grinning ear to ear, (as she ALWAYS is)..”My little kittens decided to chew some holes in my veil this morning..but its OK!” Sure enough..EXHIBIT A: Veil with kitten holes. A little bit later before the ceremony, a family member came in and said that the linens in the reception were not the right color that they ordered. “Its OK..they can fix it”. Later as we were doing romantics and I was having Suzanne and Scott nestle into an amazing yet mossy wall, I noticed the bottom of her dress get dirty..”I’M SO SORRY SUZ!!” I said..”Ehhhh..It’s Ok..its gonna get dirty no matter what”-she noted…smiling:) And of course Later, we were on a hillside and there were donkeys charging us..left and right..they wouldn’t stay out of our shot..and then one began chasing Suzanne…I thought “Great..I’m gonna be the gal responsible for the bride tumbling down the hill and ripping her dress 20 minutes before her ceremony”..but Suz lifted her dress..got those pretty little heels a-movin.. &  just laughed as scurried down that hill into Scotts arms…in the car she said, “I cant wait to see those shots”. I knew she she trusted us and our vision, and that when I said we only needed 10 minutes to get this shot on the hill, that we meant it. Her and Scott completely gave us creative reigns that day, and didn’t let a single thing ruin any moment of it.  Suz and Scott met on Eharmony.com……. when it says they match you on millions of levels of compatibility..they mean it. They couldn’t be more perfect for eachother if they tried. Truly a memorable day. Donkeys, Burger, happy tears, and lots of LOVE LOVE LOVE..

What wonderful photos. I loved the picture of Scott and his groomsmen in sunglasses. Frank Sinatra would be proud to know the ‘rat pack’ look still lives LOL…..

Oh Ashley, I love coming back to these every once in a while and re-living our day through your photos. You did such an amazing job not only capturing the details of the day, but really drawing out the personalities of everyone there. We are so thankful you were our photographer!! <3
